It was going to be
just like any normal Sunday with not much planned, which I really don’t mind
but as it went it turned out to be a perfect day. I woke early, and at 6:30 received a text from my flatmate
to say that they’re taking the ooda’s (the dogs, Charlie & Buddy) to the
beach, would I like to come? Hell
yeah! We packed the car, ooda’s in
place and set off for Southport Spit.
The Ooda's...Charlie on left, Buddy on right
It was a magical
summers morning with lots of people out and about taking their dogs for a walk
on the beach. Ted went of surfing
and Cush & I walked, chatted, laughed and played with the ooda’s. After that it was time for some swimming
and sunbaking till Ted came in from his surf. We all piled into the car and made the journey home (I make
it sound like a big drive, it’s really only about 20 mins away).
I then had a shower
and set off to collect my twinkle twinnie Nat (born on the same day, same
year!), and her scrumptious daughter Lua.
We then packed the car and set off for Tumbulgum to meet up with some of
the girls and meet Tabitha’s gorgeous little girl Mollie. Tumbulgum is a beautiful, quaint, lush,
little sleepy town on the Northern NSW Tweed River.
Mollie is the latest
girl to join the sistahood. She’s
as cute as a button and totally scrumptious! Tabitha and her partner Jamie welcomed Mollie to the world 8
weeks previously.
After our visit with
Tabs & Mollie we (Libby, Nat, Lua, Mel, Silas, & I) hit the road and
drove an hour southwest to the Channon Markets. Channon is a small rural town approximately 1.5 hours south
west of the Gold Coast. It’s a
stunning spot in the Northern NSW hills and they have the most scrumptious
markets there.
We met up with Cheryl
and her two kiddlets, Tao & Jarrah, strolled around the markets for a few
hours, stopped and had ice creams, popcorn, cold drinks and just hung out on
the grass watching the world go by.
It’s was a perfect blissful afternoon.
After this, we all
packed back up into the cars and headed North back to the Gold Coast for an
evening beach BBQ at Burleigh.
It was a really
scrumptious and perfect day…well almost!
The only thing missing was a scrumptious man to come home to cuddle…now
that would have made it perfect!!!
Ciao for now
xx
These are a couple of pics from the Channon Markets which I love....the old donkey letterbox on a rural property and the hippy family on the move...
