Things to make you go hmmm...

Sleep turned out to be a big fail - story of my life!  It didn't help that I got a bit excited about this whole blogging thing and what I wanted to talk about next!

I also remembered that today is the birthday of a very important scrumptious person in my life, my beautiful niece Zoe!  She turns 17 today.  I have a 17 year old neice.....geez that makes me feel old!  Both Zoe & her brother Brodie are such beautiful, kind hearted, funny, cheeky, naughty and amazing young people - definitely related!

Most people who know me, know that I'm pretty much an open book.  I love to talk about stuff.  I have moments where I don't really say a lot (lots of these moments) because I am also a listener & observer.   I love nothing more than sitting back and listening.  Especially when it's my hoochies talking about their lives and the lives of those around them.  Not gossip, just idle chit chat.  Occasionally though, some really good frivolous and scandalous gossip - we are girls afterall!

So anyway, I thought I would share a couple more of my favourite things.  One being my most favourite female artist, Sarah Hickey. Her work is simply divine scrumptiousness! I'm sure you will all agree.  I am yet to meet someone who does not immediately fall in love with her work!

Sarah and I went to primary school together and reconnected a few years back through our mumsie's.  Sarah and her simply stunning pieces of work are both adorable, gorgeous, cute, quirky, inspirational and are in every way scrumptious!    www.sarahhickey.com.au

Jewellery and fashion are also a couple of my favourite things.  One of my girlfriends, Heather has started her own business called Blooming Soul Sista's.  They have a facebook page set up where you can check out the pictures of the jewellery & put in your orders.  I purchased 2 scrumptious necklaces, one is a lotus pendant with amethyst through the beading and the other is a creative harmony tree for lots of creative energy & inspiration.

Heather and I go back many many moons when we use to run a little music shop together on the sunny coast.  We had our very own Empire Records, happy days indeed!  I wont mention the name of our shop because they're an insanely shit company who together with other corporates have killed the beautiful independent stores who actually support local home grown music - like Skinny's & Rocking Horse Records!

I can guarantee that every piece of jewellery has been made with love and the best wishes!  Check out Blooming Soul Sistas if you like what you see!

Ok so fading fast as the day goes on.  This whole sick thing is resembling what I might think menopause is like - cranky with loads of hot and cold flushes!  I was going to read myself a bedtime story but found this and couldn't think of anyone better to read a sick child a bedtime story other than Noni! and yes, I might be 37 but i'm still someone's sick child!!!

Hope you're all having a scrumptious day!

Until next time scrumptious people!
