Quote of the day: Memory... is the diary that we all carry about with us.  Oscar Wilde

Don't you just love it when you find old photo's or video's of yourself and it takes you back on a magical journey in time.

I'm at my parents for the next week house sitting for them and while it shouldn't be a surprise to me, I'm still always surprised by some of the shit my mother has held onto!  Both of my parents are the biggest hoarders to ever have walked this earth.  Seriously, I throw stuff out and a year later it comes back!

Anyway, I was going through a bag in my bedroom cupboard to find a whole bunch of treasures from my London days and on a disc was these 2 video's that I had sent home.  It was from my first ever real experience with snow!

I remember it like it was yesterday.  I was working for London Underground's BCV Team at Canary Wharf and got to work so pumped about the fact it was snowing, and the snow was settling!  I had never seen anything so beautiful.

As soon as I put my bag on my desk I went straight to the window to gaze lovingly at the transformation of Canary Wharf, and of course take photo's!  My boss walked in, knowing that I hadn't seen snow before and could see my excitement and told me to take the morning off to 'go and play in it'!  So I grabbed one of my work buddies to come and film me....

Note to self, think before speaking when on camera!  Ignore the commentary, my ridiculous accent (I have no idea where it came from) and my terrible camera technique...clearly only meant to be one film maker/actor in the family!

Seriously, WTF is with that accent!  I sound like Mary Poppins....

I wish I could find the one of me rolling around in it making snow angels...this is all I've got for the moment though.

Awe London, this makes me so homesick for you!  What great fun memories I have!

My gorgeous flatmates & I....I'm the skinny bitch centre front, times certainly have changed!!

Have a great day and I hope my friends are having splendid time at Splendour. I'll leave you with a lovely song that comes to mind when reminiscing..

Until next time scrumptious people!
xx
